You can’t be a rockstar every day.

I woke up today tired from the night before. I went to be late, like way later than what I usually do. My emotions ran a bit wild that night. I won’t get into details, but I’m pretty sure we all have days/nights like that.

Too much on my mind, my normal morning routine was broken up. I didn’t get to spend time with the Lord, pray, and read the Bible. I didn’t get to exercise. I pretty much went straight to work. I hate it when I do that.

Shake it off, shake it off. A lot easier said then done. I’m the type of person that feels hard. Not sure if that makes sense. I try not to let things linger, but they do. All of a sudden I feel like I’m completely thrown off for the day. My energy is low, I get moody. Not very fun to be around.

Shake it off.

Let’s be honest, even when you feel like you’re doing everything right, you can still mess up. I mean truthfully, you’re battling against everything in the past that the enemy has thrown at you.

Old bad habits, old ways of reacting, old ways of dealing with situations. We can try our best to get out of it and break it off, but never think that you’ve arrived.

The minute you start to feel like everything is going good, it the minute you start to get comfortable. The guard goes down. And what happens next?

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

1 Peter 5:8

I love the Bible. I love that it speaks on EVERYTHING we go through, and has a solution for it.

Be well balanced. Be Vigilant. Be cautious. When? AT ALL TIMES!!!!

The enemy is just waiting, and the second you give him that opportunity, BAM!

We’ll not today Satan! I may be a little exhausted but I refuse to let you steal my joy, my energy, and my peace.

And don’t let him do it to you either!

We’re human, our flesh is stupid, not every day are you going to be a rockstar. You have to remember that everything you have thought, created, and formed until this point, is all that you know. You are breaking years upon years of worldy habits and processes.

But guess what!? Jesus overcame the world! Hallelujah! We are in it but not of it!

So even when those bad days do come:

  1. You’re not alone
  2. God got you
  3. You got this

God bless man of God!
